Some things about me:
- Created my first ad/promotion in 1994, as an intern. The (paid) copywriter took all the credit.
- Started my fundraising career in Washington DC in 1995 as a traffic manager, then into production.
- Moved to general advertising as the direct marketing guy, realized they didn’t know how to raise money.
- Had a handful of sales jobs. A flop. Just not my thing.
- I quit my job in 2002, when my daughter was born. Built things to feed my family (from decks to cabinets to websites and online businesses).
- Wrote and published some books.
- Became a full-time writer (although I still design websites for clients if I have the time).
- When time allows, I like to draw, play piano and guitar, take photos, and cook.
- I’m vegan.
